In a follow-up to his inspirational book, Are Not My People Worthy?: The Story of Matthew 25: Ministries, Wendell Mettey shares a candid account of the struggles and successes the ministry experienced through a ten-year span.
Continuing his calling to provide for the poor and needy, this minister from Cincinnati reached out to Southeast Asia after the tsunami of 2003 and to the victims on the Gulf Coast in the wake of hurricane Katrina in 2004. In a spirit of unwavering faith and dedication, Mettey inspired others to join in a wave of compassion to give food, water, supplies, clothes, and money to thousands in need.
In What God Desires, Mettey beautifully narrates how God revealed the ministry's callling in the midst of the most devastating events in recorded history. His incredible stories of God's divine intervention will imprint every reader's heart and convince even the strongest skeptic to believe in miracles.

Wendell Mettey has truly followed the path that God has in mind for him. Matthew 25:Ministries is an inspiration to everyone who has ever come into contact with the organization. What God Desires tells the story extremely well. --Dick Bere, Chief Operating Officer, Crayons 2 Computers
Mettey's book weaves biblical stories, world disasters, and the ministry's phenomenal growth to tell the journey of the organization's seemingly endless search to purchase a warehouse. What God Desires reminds us to stop thinking in chronos time and to start living on kairos time to experience what God desires for us. --Patty Cottingham, Vice President/Administration, Scripps Howard Foundation
Once I started to read this book, I could not put it down. I met Wendell Mettey many years ago and immediately felt our common belief in God realizing that He is our guide and leads us to major lifelong decisions. As a Jewish Holocaust survivor, I am convinced that God had plans for me and my family to come to America to help the oppressed, just as He had plans for Wendell in helping the destitute of the world. --Paul Heiman, Chairman of the Board, Standard Textile
