JAMES B SPENCER has been involved with retrievers since the late 1940s and with hunt tests since their beginnings in the early 1980s. He has judged AKC, UKC and NARHA tests and competed with a variety of breeds. He has conducted retriever and spaniel training seminars throughout the U.S., and is the author of nine books.
