About the Author

James Barrett, co-owner and head baker, studied at the Culinary Institute of America and began baking bread as pastry chef at the White Dog Café. He lives in Philadelphia.

Wendy Smith Born, co-owner and president, met James Barrett when she was managing partner of the White Dog Café. She lives with her family in Philadelphia.
