Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan was a multifaceted, uniquely creative and talented author. In the course of his career, Rabbi Kaplan became known for such books as Jewish Meditation: A Practical Guide and The Light Beyond: Adventures in Hasidic Thought.
Rebbe Nachman was a Kabbalist and a mystic, yet at the same time practical and down-to-earth. He told tales of princes and princesses, beggars and kings, demons and saints, and encouraged those around him to live life with faith, honesty, and simplicity.
In this, the second of two monumental volumes, Rabbi Kaplan s translation of Rebbe Nachman s stories is accompanied by masterful commentary drawn from the works of Rebbe Nachman s pupils and followers. The tales will awaken you to the mysteries of Torah and Kabbalah, and show you why Rebbe Nachman s teachings are a major source of inspiration and perception in our times.
