About the Author:

Neil Solomon, M.D., Ph.D., is a John Hopkins-trained physician, a NEW YORK TIMES best-selling author and a former L.A. TIMES syndicated columnist. He presently spends his time educating the public through writing and lecturing, and serves as a consultant to the United Nations and the World Health Organization.
