About the Author
Samantha is the author of six children's picture books. "Alphabet Trucks," "Alphabet Trains," and "Alphabet Boats" (illustrated by Ryan O'Rourke) are rhyming alphabet books about 26 different vehicles from A to Z.
"The Cazuela That the Farm Maiden Stirred" - illustrated by Rafael López - received the 2012 Pura Belpré Illustration Honor. Its companion book, "The Piñata That The Farm Maiden Hung" is illustrated by Sebastià Serra. "Before You Were Here, Mi Amor" is illustrated by Santiago Cohen.

Each train is featured on its own page, allowing the page turns to reveal the next type of train. The book concludes with a spread with factual information on each of the trains depicted, further enhancing the book's appeal to train enthusiasts.
