About the Author
Emily Larson-Rutter has taught the first grade in the Meridian School District in Everson, Washington for five years.
Shelley Lapp has been a primary school teacher for nine years. She has taught grades one through three in various multi-age groupings as well as single-grade classrooms. Ms. Lapp is currently a Library/Media Specialist in the Kent School District in Kent, Washington.
