About the Author:
Rebecca Thatcher Murcia grew up in Garrison, New York, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She was a daily newspaper reporter mostly in Texas for 14 years. She is a soccer coach and player in Akron, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her two sons. She is the author of other soccer biographies for Mitchell Lane Publishers, including Freddy Adu, David Beckham, and Landon Donovan.
