Synopsis
This new textbook from AHIMA presents a comprehensive introduction to the theory, practice, and management of performance and quality improvement processes in healthcare organizations of all kinds. Numerous examples and case studies from real-life healthcare settings bring home the importance of quality in healthcare services. About the Author
Chris Elliott holds a master’s degree in information systems and is currently pursuing a doctorate in medical informatics at the University of Utah. He is currently associate professor and chairman of the Health Administrative Services Department, College of Health Professions, at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Before becoming a full-time health professions educator, he worked for 20 years in various positions related to health information management and quality improvement in the San Francisco bay area.
