About the Author

Richard N. Fragomeni, a priest of the diocese of Albany, New York, is associate professor of liturgy and homiletics and chair of the Department of Word and Worship at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He has written widely on topics of liturgy, music, symbolism, the Catechumenate, the Eucharist, and liturgies with children, among other subjects. His newest collaboration is with Brother Michael O'Neill McGrath, OSFS in the work BLESSED ART THOU: MOTHER, LADY, MYSTIC, QUEEN which recently won three Catholic Press awards. In addition to his teaching, preaching, and writing duties, Father Fragomeni serves as spiritual director at the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, an Italian-American spiritual center in Chicago's Little Italy.
