About the Author
Sharon Montrose is the photographer and author of Dogtionary and Cationary. She regularly receives commissions for her photography from commercial and private sectors, and her work is included in both public and private collections. She lives in Los Angeles.

A puppy 'aaaahhhh' book, full of delightful photographs of "lightweights", weeks-old little bundles of canine cuteness, suspended in vintage scales for added emotional effect. From bug-eyed Bostons to dinky Dachshunds, crumpled Bulldogs and leggy Danes, their sweetness and cuddliness emphasised by the colour photographs. The black and white shots meanwhile imbue the pups with subtle contrasts to human photography: a litter of Boxers looking like a 1920s gangster line-up, a Beagle showing childlike curiosity and a German Shepherd resembling a Victorian formal portrait. Photographer Sharon Montrose has captured all the endearing qualities to be found in canine youngsters and transferred them to this wonderfully doggy book. A must for all dog-lovers and, if you're not one already, you soon will be once captivated by the adoration and entreatment emanating from these gorgeous little growlers. - Lucy Watson
