ALLAN O. KOWNSLAR, professor of history at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, is a nationally recognized expert in social studies curriculum. He served as president of the Texas Association for the Advancement of History and has written several social studies textbooks including The Texans: Their Land and History.SARA R.
