About the Author

Denise Gendron has been teaching strings in elementary through college levels since 1976. She authored the string instruction method, SuperStrings and Learn from a Pro, Santorella's beginning band method for winds. Denise has received the Massachusetts and National Director of the Year awards from the National School Orchestra Association. Above all, she loves to share her joy for music while inspiring young musicians.
