Reviews

This volume covers the basics of how social bookmarking (allowing your bookmarked websites to be accessed across devices) can be a useful research tool for libraries. Beginning with an introduction to social bookmarking, the work covers social applications—Delicious, LaterThis, Sqworl, Job, LiveBinders, Diigo, and QR Codes— in two chapters each (a basic and an advanced). The concluding chapter sums up various websites and offers worksheets and rubrics for using these technologies in the school library media center, although much of this information will apply to other libraries and to educators at any level. An appendix addresses creating videos with the program Jing. A wonderful introduction and advanced-user guide to bookmarking techniques and tools, this offers not only technology tips but curricular ideas as well. --Sara Marcus
