Terms and concepts that may be unfamiliar are often explained within the text. For instance, the U.S. Supreme Court entry provides a brief explanation of "substantive due process" in relation to the legal rights of businesses. Entries may be short articles or longer overviews. The "Impact" section at the conclusion of each signed piece elevates this material beyond the usefulness of traditional reference sets. It succinctly details the enduring importance of each topic, which will help students to focus and to write meaningful thesis statements.
