About the Author

An alumnus of Maryville College, Maryville, TN and the Yale School of Drama, David Reed began his theatrical career alternating between actor, director, producer and writer. He organized the Polka Dot Playouse, a regional theatre in Stratford, Ct. After forty years and several dozen major productions hence, the playhouse moved into a new five million dollar home in Bridgeport, Ct. in 1998. Reed's new play, Franklin, will debut in London (England) in 2002. The President's Weekend is his first novel.
