Synopsis

An indespensable guide for land-use planners, analysts, and students, this new book provides the information needed to understand and implement the innovative analysis model developed by the authors: the land-use conflict identification strategy (LUCIS). The LUCIS model uses the ArcGIS geoprocessing framework to analyze suitability and preference for major land-use categories, determine potential future conflict among the categories, and build future land-use scenarios. Case study data and the LUCIS geoprocessing models are provided on a supplemental DVD.
