The possibility of the paranormal has become prevalent in television and movies in recent years. Now both the novice and the more experienced researcher can investigate haunted sites for themselves. This intriguing account covers everything from high-tech gadgets to inborn psychic abilities while instructing readers on how to locate friendly or not-so-friendly apparitions. It offers visitors and residents a chance to see beyond the surface of various haunted locations throughout the area. Lorri Sankowsky and Keri Young are the former co-directors of the Indianapolis chapter of Indiana Ghost Trackers, a prominent paranormal investigation group in the Indianapolis area. Together they have explored many famous ghostly locations, such as the French Lick Springs Hotel, the legendary Indiana Motor Speedway, and various haunted cemeteries. Sankowski and Young have also conducted paranormal review meetings for more than 70 members of their group and have organized and guided group ghost tours throughout their area. For these two women, inspiration for this book came after many years of researching and exploring haunted locations throughout their region. They have witnessed firsthand some of the strange and unusual events previously told to them by the various owners and employees of the sites.

From the Back Cover:

This captivating account covers everything from high-tech gadgetry like infrared thermometers and EMF detectors to nonscientific tools such as dowsing rods and ouija boards. As the capital of the Hoosier State, Indianapolis offers numerous sites of criminal activity, suicides, disturbed remains, horrific fires, and tragic accidents, providing hundreds of opportunities for ghost hunting.
Investigators explore eerie locations such as the Central State Mental Hospital, a facility that is reportedly the most actively haunted place in the state. Other locales include the legendary House of Blue Lights. Before it was demolished, it was often visited by local teens pumped with adrenaline and eager to prove their bravery. For them, climbing the iron fence and taking a dip in the glowing blue pool was a rite of passage. Now the area remains a green space that offers beautiful wildlife by day and frightening spectral visions by night.
