Synopsis
Michel Campeau's Darkroom is the first title in an important new series of books edited by Martin Parr with the aim of presenting work that has never before been published in book form. Parr, whose work itself is the subject of over 30 books, and who has built perhaps the most comprehensive private collection of photography books in the world, will select two artists each year for this series over the next five years. Michel Campeau's Darkroom series is an evocative set of images rising from visits to over 75 darkrooms in his native Canada; it is a fascinating tribute to an increasingly rare working environment.
