Most of the work of the Lord is accomplished through relationships. Leaders exercise righteous influence and self-control by either stepping in to assist their brother and sisters or backing off out of respect for their God-given agency. This book discusses in detail the principles of righteousness and how a leader conforms his or her life to them in order to receive the powers of heaven. It shows how the powers of heaven are often manifested through the Holy Ghost- inspiration comes that directs leaders to do the right thing for the righteous reason. Learn how to lead more effectively in the Church and at home!

Whether it s in the Church of the home, we all have both opportunity and responsibility to lead others. And whether your calling is to serve as a stake president, a Primary president, a senior companion in home teaching, or a father or mother, the challenge is to lead effectively and with the right spirit.
In Righteous Influence, Lee Tom Perry identifies the revealed leadership principles that will permit us to serve more effectively and explains how we can infuse our leadership opportunities with love.
Delving deeply into the layers of doctrine found in Doctrine and Covenants 121, Brother Perry explores
· how leaders can call upon the powers of heaven to help them in their responsibilities.
· the role of the priesthood and the Holy Ghost play in making leadership decisions.
· how a righteous leader can be more charitable, faithful, and virtuous.
· how to judge when to step in and offer help and when to back off.
"It is Christ s power working through leaders that enables ordinary men, women and youth to do extraordinary things," writes Brother Perry, showing us how we can indeed do extraordinary things when we learn to lead with righteous influence
