The readers we are aiming at with this book have some ASP.NET programming experience. They are comfortable with basic ASP.NET techniques such as data access and web controls. They will have at least seen some examples of more advanced techniques such as security, caching, and web services. Our readers will not necessarily have built an intranet before. The code will be presented in VB.NET.
About the Author
Kourosh Ardestani is a trainer, developer, and consultant focusing on .NET technologies in the enterprise. He has been working closely with ASP.NET and other .NET technologies since the preview of the release of the .NET runtime. Kourosh has a bachelor's degree in computer science, along with a degree in business management. He also holds about a dozen IT certifications, including MCSD, MCSE, MCDBA, MCSA, and CISSP.
