Synopsis

I climbed up over the guardrail and as high up the metal structure as I could. I stood there looking out over the water. It was so quiet and peaceful. The city lights were reflecting in the water so beautifully. I wished my life could be as somber and peaceful. Then just as I was about to plunge into the peacefulness, someone called out to me.

"Hey there, whatcha thinkin’ about doin’?"

It was an old man. He was walking towards me on the other side of the guardrail.

"You leave me alone!" I yelled.
"Oh… I can’t do that," he said. "I’m on my way home and I just don’t think I’d be
able to sleep tonight if I saw some girl jump off a bridge."
"Then don’t watch!" I yelled.

Have you ever wondered why you were ever even born? Ever wondered, "Why me?" Follow along in a story about a girl named Shelly. Discover how she was able to overcome the most confusing, painful, scary, and dangerous times in her life. Run with her, cry with her, and learn with her as she discovers a past almost too painful to believe. And then see how she discovers the meaning of true love in ways she never thought existed.
