But choosing the right colors for packages in retail environment competing with thousands of other products, it is especially important to hit the right color note. Unfortunately, for most people choosing colors is not an easy process, but with a little bit of science and some color advice, anyone can make a strong choice.
This book will take the 23 adjectives from The Complete Color Harmony and show 10 different packages in a variety of categories in 3 color combinations each for every adjective. The result is 1,035 color/layout variations illustrating how colors are used to great effect in design.

About the Author
Jim Mousner (Houston, TX) founded Origin Design in 1997. His work has been included in publications such as Print, HOW, and Emigre, and he has been published in books including Metalheart. Mousner has served on the board of the Houston chapter of AIGA, the former Texas Chapter of AIGA, and is currently on the advisory panel for the School of Art and the College of Architecture at the University of Houston. He is also currently serving as chairman of the Graphics Alumni Partnership of the University of Houston, an alumni-based organization for the graphic communications program, an effort which he has led from its inception.
