Dr. Martin Starr is currently Distinguished Professor of Operations Management at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He was the Director of the Center for Enterprise Management, whose mission is to enable companies to remain competitive in the new millennium. He is Chair of the Council of Presidents of the Operations and Management Society (POMS). He has been a regular contributor to research focusing on the systems approach in production and operations management with recent emphasis on e-commerce applications. Starr received his bachelor's degree in Engineering at MIT, went on to earn masters degrees in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, and earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Management Science from Columbia University.
