Ever wonder what it would be like to walk into someone else's mind and have a look around? Well, what if that person happened to be a brilliant storyteller whose imagination has captivated millions of readers over the past five decades? In the award-winning anthology Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor, we have had both the privilege and peril of rooting around in the eponymous fellow's noggin to see what makes him tick - and what engrossing stories have been hidden away in the cracks and crevices of his gray matter. The words of world-renowned science-fiction author Harlan Ellison are once again translated onto the page by top comics creators, including Paul Chadwick, Neal Adams, Steve Rude, Gene Colan, Steve Niles, Gerard Jones, Richard Corben and the legendary Oz illustrator Eric Shanower. Most of these stories have never before seen print!

About the Author:

Harlan Ellison has written or edited more than 120 books and more than 1,700 stories, essays, and articles, as well as dozens of screenplays and teleplays. He has won numerous awards, including the Edgar Award, Hugo Award, an Audie Award for Best Solo Narration, and his fifth Nebula Award, breaking genre records. Ellison was named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 2006. He lives in California.

From Publishers Weekly:

One of Ellison's major appeals is that he is able to capture so much of his never-ending imagination, his "dream corridor," into well-told tales. This collection of comics, as well as two illustrated prose stories, takes that appeal one step further, adapting some of Ellison's best stories into short and sweet comics. The book is overflowing with top talent, including writers Mark Waid (Kingdom Come), Gerard Jones (Men of Tomorrow) and Steve Niles (30 Days of Night). The art is equally strong: Steve Rude touches on the same epic science fiction look that he used for Nexus in "The Discarded." Richard Corben reteams with Jan Strnad for the gritty "The Man on the Juice Wagon." All the stories are introduced by Ellison, who finds himself in strange situations drawn with great humor by Eric Shanower (Age of Bronze). The strongest story is "One Life, Furnished in Poverty," adapted by Strnad and Paul Chadwick (Concrete). With only the smallest fantasy conceit, it's a sad and touching story with semiautobiographical touches. These comics adaptations add proof that Ellison isn't just a great fantasist but one of America's premiere short story writers (Mar.)
