About the Author
With more than 15 years of experience as the teachers and parents of mathematically talented students, Michael J. Bosse, Ph.D., and Jennifer V. Rotigel, Ed.D., brings their experiences in educating and advocating for gifted students together in this comprehensive, concise guide to parenting children talented in math. Bosse, an associate professor of math and science education at East Carolina University, instructs future math teachers and works with highly able math students and their parents on a regular basis in his community. Rotigel, an associate professor of education and chair of the Department of Professional Studies in Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, formerly taught students in the elementary classroom, focusing on gifted and special education. Both authors continue to advocate for gifted and mathematically talented children through their writing, teaching, and development of curricula.
