A story tracing a man's life over two world wars. His attempts no matter what, to stay alive and seek what we all take for granted now. Then sadly, his dramatic fall when unintentionally he shoots and kill the first elected secretary of the up and coming Communist party. Wanted and frightened, he is captured and held prisoner in Siberia by the brutal and callous Russian Red Army whose intention at that time, was to wipe out the whole gallant officers force from the Polish army. When the might of the German Army turns on Stalin, the allied treaty is declared. Miraculously still alive, he is freed to continues his quest and fights his last battle at Monte Cassino for what he believes is every mans dream.... Love and freedom.

Stasiak was born in 1945 Monza Italy, his ideas for his books came from hearing of events that had happened to members of his family, by putting all these together he wrote his first novel "The Last Crimson Snowflake" The second "The Last Sicilian Shadow" came in a similar way, by also remembering small talk at the table between the people who had survived the last great war. Stasiak now lives in a peaceful English village where he still writes.
