Review:
This book of 12 chapters covers 12 important aspects of reality, ranging from freewill, the control of sin, making the most of now, through to valuing the permanent over the temporary. The tone is very fatherly, like a good parent addressing his or her children. There are plenty of strong words, fair warnings and rebukes, but they are given through the door of grace and God's love. I recommend this book to children, as a signpost to them to negotiate safely into the future, and to parents as advisers to the young - good advice and very timely in a world that seems to be abandoning even the notion of truth. --Richard Gunther - New Zealand
