Dr. David C. Thompson's professional career has spanned the roles of classroom teacher, elementary school principal, high school principal, superintendent of schools, and the professoriate. He is a specialist in school finance litigation. His prolific publication record encompasses numerous book chapters, monographs, and refereed journal articles. He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including the UCEA Award for Sustained and Meritorious Service and the Distinguished Service Award for Leadership Studies. Dr. Thompson is Professor in the Graduate School and Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership at Kansas State University.
Dr. Faith E. Crampton's professional career has spanned public education, senioradministrative positions in state government, senior research and policy positions in national education and legislative organizations, and graduate faculty positions in public and private research universities. She retired as Associate Professor of education finance and policy in the Department of Administrative Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is an education consultant serving as president and CEO of Crampton & Associates, a firm specializing in rigorous, results-oriented education finance research and policy analysis.
Professor R. Craig Wood's professional career has spanned classroom teacher, grant administrator, business manager, and assistant superintendent of schools for school districts in Wisconsin and Connecticut. He currently is Professor at the University of Florida. Dr. Wood s publication record exceeds more than 125 book chapters, monographs, and refereed journal articles. His consulting work has included advisement or expert analysis for state departments, legislatures, attorneys general, and attorneys and litigants in school finance. Dr. Wood is codirector of the UCEA Center for Education Finance. He is a past president of the American Education Finance Association.
