About the Author
Steve Roe is a 17-year veteran of the University of Iowa athletic department, serving as associate sports information director since 1993. He has served as the editor of Iowa's football and men's basketball media guides since 1991 and has earned numerous publication awards from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Roe has accompanied the Hawkeye football team to nine bowl games, including four straight January bowl games from 2002 through 2006, while directing publicity for nine Hawkeye basketball teams in the NCAA Tournament. Roe is from Iowa City, Iowa.
