David Rothbart was born in Pittsburgh P.A in 1916. Inducted into Army on February 14, 1942, he served in the European Theatre of Operations, landing in Normandy shortly after D-Day. He was awarded the Bronze Star with five battle stars and was honourably discharges from Army on September 28, 1945, with the rank of a sergeant.
