Synopsis
The Register-Guard is pleased to bring you this pictorial retrospective of life in Lane County in the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s. If it’s true that a picture tells a thousand words, this book contains volumes. These pictures don’t presume to record the important moments of history. They merely offer glimpses of life, often everyday life, in Lane County. Unlike the first two volumes in this series, this third volume primarily features images captured by former and current Register-Guard photographers. We also want to thank the local residents and organizations who shared their photos with us. This entire three-volume project would not have been possible without the generous participation of the Lane County Historical Society and Museum, the Springfield Museum, and the University of Oregon Knight Library. We hope you enjoy looking back at Lane County.
