About the Author

JACQUES CAUBET was born in France, 1922. Grew up in Algeria. 1941: Volunteers in French Army, which joins the Allies in November 1942. Caubet s regiment participates in fighting in Tunisia, Italy, Provence landing in August 1944, integrated with 5th U.S. Armored Division, makes first contact with Soviet army. Ends WWII as lieutenant with "Croix de Guerre." 1947: Graduates from Ecole Centrale de Paris. 1953: Founds HEF firm, dedicated to research in processes reducing friction and corrosion. 1964: HEF files first major patent. 1970: First licensing contract in Japan. 1970-90: HEF s processes licensed throughout the world, applied in all automobile engines. 2005: HEF owns over 300 patents, is world leader in surface treatment technology, active in 15 countries, generates sales of $100 million with 1,000 employees. Four books published in France on reconciling Christian faith with enterprise management and scientific research. Member of Teilhard Association and others. Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.
