Daniel W. Raab is an attorney located in Miami, Florida who has practiced in the
transportation field for over 25 years. He is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and
the University of Miami, School of Law. Mr. Raab is a member of the Florida Bar and is
admitted to practice before many courts including the United States District Courts for the
Middle and the Southern District of Florida as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the
United States Court of International Trade and the United States Supreme Court. Over the
years, he has represented importers, exporters, truckers, airlines, steamship companies,
freight forwarders, customs brokers, logistics companies, and insurers. Many of his cases
have been reported and are among the significant cases in the transportation field.
He has taught Insurance Law as an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University
School of Law and Florida International University College of Law and is currently teaching
a class on Transportation Law as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of
Law. Additionally, he has lectured on cargo and insurance issues to professionals in the
industry as well as attorneys. Mr. Raab is also a Contributing Author to Goods In Transit.
His goal in writing this book is to provide a clear and easy to use reference for the
transportation and logistics industry.
