Greg Laurie, pastor of one of the largest churches in America, shares his life story. Born out of wedlock to a mother who married and divorced seven times, Greg Laurie sought meaning in his life through partying and drugs. But it wasn’t until a chance encounter in high school that he found it through a relationship with Jesus Christ. In this newly-updated version, Pastor Greg shares about an unexpected event that eclipsed all of the pain of his childhood...the death of his oldest son, Christopher. “It was like the back page of my biography was ripped off and new chapters were being added, and the ink is still wet,” Laurie said. Lost Boy: The Next Chapter is still a story of hope and redemption. It’s not just the story of Greg’s redemption, but also that of his mother and the father who adopted him, It’s also the story of Christopher’s redemption and how God can bring good out of bad, in spite of the worst circumstances imaginable. Lost Boy: The Next Chapter features narration from Pat Summerall, along with interviews with family members and other key figures in Greg’s life.

Like many who came of age in the 1960s, Greg Laurie was on the search for the meaning of life. Born out of wedlock to the beautiful Charlene McDaniel, an alcoholic who went on to marry seven times, Greg started drinking, partying and taking drugs to escape the insecurity and dysfunction of his family. But his life was suddenly changed when he encountered a group of young Christians on his high school campus in Newport Beach, CA. Greg went on to start what became one of the first mega-churches in the US as well as a far-reaching ministry that today touches many who are searching for meaning, just as he once was. In 1990, Laurie began holding public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since then, four million people have attended Harvest Crusades across the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Today, he is senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA, a congregation that is among the eight largest churches in America. He is also the author of more than 35 books, including the Gold Medallion Award-winner The Upside-Down Church and his most recent Regal release, Lies We Tell Ourselves.
