Reviews

WAIT WAIT . . . DON'T TELL ME! is National Public Radio's regular quiz show/satire. It combines well-known comics and commentators from different backgrounds, such as Paula Poundstone, Roy Blount, Jr., and Mo Rocca. The guests appearing in these segments, if anything, are more varied, ranging from Michael Moore to Ted Koppel. The sound quality and production values are universally high, making it seem as if one is listening in on a particularly witty group of friends. The editing is strong--only the high points of shows are included, which makes for very concentrated humor indeed. However, this choice leads to the collection's only weakness: it's too much of a good thing to listen to straight through. Listeners will want to ration it out.
