From the Author
The idea for my "Havoc in Hancock" series of humorous suspense novels came in a small cafe, where my environmental activist daughter introduced me to the real Roadkill. He became the inspiration for a major character in Mustard's Last Stand. I simply had to find a way to write about a man who dresses in the skins of animals he's found dead by the side of the road. To have him and his brother fighting to save wild animals who simply shouldn't be in North Idaho seemed a good fit. I love Carl Hiaasen and the way his books highlight the dangers to Florida's natural habitat. I hope my books can do the same for a wild but different place: North Idaho.
I've always loved telling tales. Even when I start out serious, I seem to be unable to control my sense of humor, but I'm told my brand of quirky works and I'm glad. When I edit a chapter and smile or even, at times, laugh out loud, I know I'm heading the right direction. I hope my readers will find something to smile, laugh at, and possibly think about as they read my words.
