Reviews

The format here is the drawand readers will indeed be drawn into the lives of three hens named Amelia, Tilda, and Honey, collectively referred to as the girls. From newly hatched chicks to grand dame layers, the author and the wonderful photographer chart the growth of any and all baby chicks into fully mature adults, with the girls as examples. Along the way, there are important discussions about heat lamps, health and cleanliness, brooding, breed types, housing, and much more essential information. An inviting guide, done with great spirit as well as authority. --Brad Hooper
