Based on Lieschen Reinking's story, Beyond Betrayal - Beyond Humanity is the human tragedy of Lieschen Reinking, a young aristocratic woman. The untimely, suspicious death of Lieschen's mother and the suspicious disappearance of her grandmother (when Lieschen was five years old), as well as her passionate love for Robert Schweitzer, which cannot exist, are some of Lieschen's pain-filled adversities and betrayal of her heart, next to class discrimination and her father's attraction for Sigi Prinz, the man he wants her to marry, but whom she detests. While the mysteries of life and death, of love, hate, class afflictions, and deceit fracture Lieschen's heart, her longings are fulfilled in an unexpected turn of events when she uncovers the truth about her mother's death, her grandmother's disappearance, and her controversial relationship with Robert Schweitzer.
