About the Author

Homes: St. Petersburg, Florida, and Tarzana, California

Laura Militzer Bryant took the plunge and founded her company, Prism Arts, in 1984. Her design excellence has been recognized with artist grants from both the National Endowment for the Arts and the State of Florida. She has published more than 55 pattern books for Prism Arts and has been featured in Vogue, Knitter's, Cast On and Love of Knitting magazines. She writes a regular column, Ask Laura, for Love of Knitting and teaches around the country. A past president of The National NeedleArts Association, she's also the recipient of the Tribute to Excellence in NeedleArts award.

Barry Klein and his mother, Myrna, started Trendsetter Yarns, staying true to their passion for bringing the most exciting fashion yarns and most luxurious classic yarns to the market. Barry has taught extensively at knitting conventions, in stores, and on knitting cruises. A past president of the National NeedleArts Association, he has created patterns and written articles for Vogue Knitting, Knitter's, Knit 'N Style, Love of Knitting and Cast On magazines. He has also appeared on Uncommon Threads, Needle Arts Studio, Knitty Gritty and Knitting Daily. Knitty magazine recently nominated Barry as one of history's Top 10 Men in Knitting.
