Symposium II, “BioMicroElectroMechanical Systems―Materials and Devices,” was held from November 28–December 1, 2011 at the 2011 MRS Fall Meeting, and explored the design, fabrication and applications of micro and nanoscale technologies for biomedical applications. Symposium HH, “Bioelectronics―Materials, Properties, and Applications,” took place from November 29–30, 2011 at the 2011 MRS Fall Meeting. The seven sub-sections span a wide range of topics, including fundamental charge transport at the single-molecule level, new sensors and sensor materials, cellular bioelectronics and energy harvesting biomaterials and devices.
