About the Author:

Diane Tyrrell has over 30 years of experience in the aquatics instructional arena. She has taught canoeing and kayaking activities and instructor-level certification courses for camps, municipalities, universities, parks and recreation programs, and youth organizations, including the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, YMCA, 4-H, and Special Olympics. Her paddlesports instructional background includes various instructor-level certifications in canoeing and kayaking, from flatwater through whitewater. She currently holds boating certifications at the Instructor and Instructor Trainer levels with the American Canoe Association and the American Red Cross.
