Creating Madness by author Andrew J. Rafkin is an action thriller that reads like a real-life forewarning of our nation's ever-looming threat: a terrorist attack on the United States. Andre Petrov is the CEO of South Coast Alarm and receives a contract to safeguard the port of Los Angeles after terrorists launch an attack on the harbor of Galveston, Texas. The United States is on red alert and Petrov teams up with Coast Guard Commander Mike Greer to develop a highly sophisticated security system to detect terrorist activity. After a second terrorist attempt, Andre forms Ocean Reconnaissance Commission and Associates (O.R.C.A.) whose mission is to protect the United States and countries of the free world. Retired Navy SEAL Commander "Reef" Johansson and the beautiful Alexis Mikos, a former Greek Secret Service Agent, plus a handpicked group of security and computer specialists lead O.R.C.A. in an all-out battle against some of the most dangerous Iranian and North Korean terrorist leaders in the world. Using cutting-edge ballistics, and technically advanced Orca boats, can they defeat the enemy and how many lives will be lost as O.R.C.A. joins forces with the CIA, Homeland Security, the Pentagon, and the President to stop the terrorists from destroying the United States of America? With heart-pounding action that pulls the reader into a very real scenario of how precarious our nation's safety truly is, Rafkin's novel is an expertly written and eerily accurate foreshadowing of our country's future.
