Born in 1921 in Belgium, Maurice Tillieux was best known for the sixteen-volume Gil Jordan series but he was also a prolific writer for other artists. He died in an automobile accident in 1978.
“...[T]hese books are good stuff, the writing as well as the art.... There is something in this story for every reader: mystery, adventure, humor, bad jokes and a real sense of menace.... This is absolutely the kind of book that I would hand to someone who has expressed an interest in comics.”
