A shocking glimpse into the final days of Slabodka during World War Two, by Rebbetzin Rivka Wolbe (wife of Rav Shlomo Wolbe, zt l)
Daughter of Rav Avrohom Grodzinski, the author was an eyewitness to the tragic fall of the Slabodka Yeshiva. She saw Rav Elchanan Wasserman and other distinguished Rabbanim being led to their deaths. Her emotional retelling of her many miraculous escapes from death, coupled with her deep, unshakable faith, will leave you awed and inspired.
Part Two of the book begins with a foreword by Rav Shlomo Wolbe, zt l, and includes numerous first-person accounts of young women who were brought to Lidingo, the legendary school for girls located in Sweden after the War. Rebbetzin Wolbe, one of the fortunate girls to end up at Lidingo, adds her voice to those of others, who write about how the kindness and warmth of the school's founders succeeded in reviving them after their tragic losses.
