About the Author
Marty Makary, M.D., M.P.H. is a surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a Professor of Health Policy at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Makary is a leading voice for physicians writing for the Wall Street Journal and USA Today and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine. He tweets @MartyMakary and lives in the Washington DC area.
