This comprehensive collection features more than twenty years’ worth of previously unpublished photographs of guitar legend Slash—in all, more than 100 arresting images from the lens of esteemed rock photographer Robert Knight. These images trace the significant milestones in Slash’s career and show him onstage, in the studio, and at home. Knight’s talent for capturing the true essence of his subject is on full display: Candid, dramatic, and often funny, these photos take us beyond the big hair, the big hat, and the huge guitar riffs to underscore the larger-than-life personality and genuine enthusiasm that have made Slash one of rock’s most recognizable figures for more than three decades.

About the Author
Richard Bienstock is a senior editor with Guitar World magazine and executive editor of Guitar Aficionado magazine. He is also a musician and journalist whose writing has appeared in numerous U.S. and international publications. He lives in New York City.
Robert Knight is a longtime photographer whose lens has captured guitar legends including Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Steve Vai, and Eric Clapton. His work is exhibited on the outside of over 200 Guitar Center locations. He lives in Las Vegas.
Ronnie Wood is a guitarist for the Rolling Stones. In 2001, he formed the Ronnie Wood Band, of which Slash was a member. Wood lives in London, UK.
As co-founding member, principal co-songwriter, electrifying lead guitarist, and co-producer of Aerosmith, Joe Perry has achieved permanent iconic stature in the pantheon of rock. He has helped to drive Aerosmith, over the course of three decades, to sales of more than 150 million albums, critical acclaim, four Grammy Awards, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
