American Ride is a photographic look at our nation's history told passionately by a man who truly loves his country and
its history. Stan Ellsworth, a leather-clad former history
teacher, tours the country on his motorcycle, exploring the
nooks and crannies of American history. Stan's descriptive
storytelling brings the history to life, making it entertaining and
meaningful. Stan describes it this way: "While we can't go back
and fight the battles . . . we can walk the ground where those
events happened. I believe that if you're quiet and reflective
enough in those hallowed places, you might hear something
deep in your heart that will make a difference to you."
Together with insightful dialogue, location photographs, and
maps of Stan's cross-country rides, these books are a giftable
historic reference and travelogue. It's perfect for anyone eager
to explore historic sites and American history whether on the
road or just between the pages.
