Dr. Harry Chaucer has been recognized as a White House Distinguished Teacher; as Teacher of the Year by the National Association of Biology Teachers, as well as by the American Association of University Women; as a Klingenstein Fellow at Columbia University; as an Apple Fellow; and as an NEA Dorros Peace Trophy recipient. Chaucer suggests the marriage of two very unlikely curriculum aspects, namely the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and a meaningful, biographical context for the standards to evolve.
