This book focuses on the application of space technology as a means of potentially solving pollution problems. Remote sensing technology and the tremendous contemporary expansion of multilateral environmental treaties grew out of separate but parallel developments in the 1960's and 1970's. As a tool to improve environmental co-operation, remote sensing has great promise.
